Be Pawsitive

Law of Attraction and other life lessons that I learnt from my furever friend

Hello, dear seekers of wisdom and fellow adventurers in life,

Embark on a transformative journey with me Anand, through my latest book – Be Pawsitive – Law of Attraction and other life lessons that I learnt from my furever friend. This heartwarming and insightful book merges the principles of the Law of Attraction with the wisdom of our faithful companions—our dogs.

Through the charming and relatable voice of Kane, the canine narrator, readers are guided to embrace mindfulness, find joy in the simple things, communicate intentions with enthusiasm, nurture strong relationships, cultivate self-love, chase dreams with determination, let go and allow, express gratitude, and conquer unfounded fears. Kane’s perspective reminds us that by adopting the joyful and intentional mindset of our furry friends, we can manifest our desires and create a life that positively attracts our aspirations.

Discover the pawsitive transformation that awaits as you embark on a journey filled with wagging tails, joyful barks, and the magic of manifesting your reality. From the wag of a tail to the boundless joy in every bark, our furry companions have been our guides, showing us a path to a more enriched and harmonious existence.

Allow me to take you on a brief journey through the chapters of the book:

We learned to “Wag into the Present” understanding that mindfulness is the key to harnessing the Law of Attraction. By living in the moment, we can release worries and doubts, and allow our desires to flourish.

In “Sniffing out Joy” we discovered the beauty of finding happiness in the simplest of experiences. By practicing gratitude for these small pleasures, we create a positive cycle that attracts even more joy into our lives.

“Barking with Intent” taught us to communicate our desires to the universe with conviction. Just as my enthusiastic barks express my excitement, our affirmations are like declarations of intent that guide our reality.

Through the lesson of “Loyalty Unleashed” we explored the profound impact of strong relationships. Just as I am loyal to my pack, nurturing connections enhances our ability to attract positivity and meaningful experiences.

“Paws of Affection” revealed that by treating ourselves with kindness, we raise our vibration and become magnets for the love and abundance we deserve.

“Chasing Dreams” reminded us to set clear goals and pursue them with determination. By focusing on our aspirations and maintaining unwavering intention, we align ourselves with the Law of Attraction’s powerful principles.

“Trusting the Scent of Destiny” taught us to let go of control and trust the journey. Just as I trust my instincts, we can trust the universe to guide us toward our desires.

“Howling with Gratitude” emphasized the significance of expressing gratitude. By appreciating what we have, we create a positive energetic flow that attracts more blessings.

And as we “Pawsitively faced our futures” we discovered how positive thinking, mindfulness, and the Law of Attraction are our tools to overcome worries and anxieties about the future.

“Tail-Chasing Intentions” helped us dabble in the art of segment intending, how it aligns with the Law of Attraction, and how you can use it to manifest the outcomes you desire.

“Attract with Your Inner Joy-Magnet” explored the art of manifesting through fun and embracing activities that bring you joy and discover how you can become a joy-magnet, attracting your dreams through the sheer force of your happiness.

Through “Healing Pawprints” we discovered the transformative journey of forgiveness and the boundless depths of compassion, understanding how these qualities can enrich your life and the lives of those around you.

“Snooze and Surrender: Unleashing Resistance through Rest” unraveled the connection between restful slumber, resistance, and the Law of Attraction, revealing how they collaborate to shape your reality.

“Bark and Receive” helped us dive deep into the art of asking, how it aligns with the Law of Attraction, and how this synergy brings your desires to life.

The book also contains 366 unique “I am” affirmations, one treat for each day of the year. Each affirmation is designed to inspire and motivate you to live your best life. You can choose to read one affirmation per day, repeating it throughout the day, or you can choose to go through all the affirmations, allowing them to guide you through a transformational journey.

Plus for all the two-legged yogis! Kane is your guide to a doga experience that’s bound to get your tail wagging with some dog-inspired yoga poses that’ll have you feeling as zen as your favorite pup. So, get your book, grab your mats and let’s embark on this pawsome adventure!

That’s not all, fellow gratitude seekers! Let’s embark on a journey of thankfulness together for 28 days. Kane and I have put together some suggestions of each day for the next 4 weeks. As you fill the pages of your gratitude journal, you’ll find your heart swelling with appreciation for the little joys in life. And guess what? By the end of this adventure, you’ll have a treasure trove of memories and blessings to look back on. So grab your journal, a pen, and let’s dive into this pawsitively wonderful journey of gratitude.

The wisdom of our furry friends is a gift that can transform your life. By merging the principles of the Law of Attraction with the boundless wisdom of our companions, “Pawsitive Attraction” is a guide to living intentionally, fostering positivity, and manifesting your deepest desires with the same enthusiasm that our furry friends bring to every moment.

What I am grateful for in 2020

As the year comes to an end, I was reminiscing some of the day-to-day occurrences that happened in 2020 which reinforced how blessed I am and how many positive things are out there which I need to be grateful about.

  • Opening of Video Calls – grateful to be able to reconnect with long lost friends, relatives and family across the globe.
  • Monthly Salary Notification SMS – grateful to my employer who looked after my financial well-being even during this challenging economic year.
  • Lockdown Movement Permit – grateful for the short window of time when I could go out during the lockdown which made me appreciate freedom of movement that we have always taken for granted.
  • Online schooling – grateful to the entire educational system that geared up to ensure that children continued their learning uninterrupted from the safety of their homes.
  • Working from home – grateful for the opportunity to contribute to my organization and the economy at large from the safety of my home.
  • Negative Covid-19 Report – grateful to the Universe for protection and the learning that sometimes a Negative result could be the most positive news that one could hear.
  • Balcony spirit – Clapping & performing music – grateful to all the healthcare providers and emergency responders on the frontline who put their lives on the line to save ours.
  • Bonding with family – grateful for the opportunity to spend more time with the family and realizing that we could actually have fun together 😉
  • Limitless possibilities – grateful for the understanding that there is an unlimited opportunity to learn new skills online.
  • Living in the now – grateful for the life lesson that we don’t know what is going to happen tomorrow – but we have this moment to live life to the fullest.
  • Health First – grateful for the realization that the old proverb – “Health is Wealth” that we had learnt in our childhood is the most important truth to live by.

To summarize, 2020 was not the year to get everything you want. It was the year to appreciate everything you have.

K9 route to happiness

“Happiness is not a goal..It’s a byproduct of a life well-lived”

Eleanor Roosevelt

Two years ago, I adopted a “rescued” dog called Kane from Ras Al Khaimah Animal Welfare Centre (www.rakawc.com) little realizing that it was I who was getting rescued.

In my quest for happiness and purpose in life, I listen to, read and watch many motivational speakers, but much to my surprise realized that I had my best teacher at home – Kane, the latest addition to our family.

He was an expert in the field of Happiness Management and had the following five woofs of wisdom for me to follow to lead a happy and fulfilling life:

Unconditional love

“Love is the master key that opens the gates of happiness”

Oliver Wendell Holmes

Kane is the living embodiment of this quote.

He doesn’t judge me, he doesn’t discriminate, he doesn’t care about what I got him or didn’t, he doesn’t hold grudges and just showers me with unconditional love the moment I return home every single day.

The world would be a better place if everybody had the ability to love unconditionally like my furever friend.

Minimalism – Find happiness in little things

“Seeking happiness in material things is a sure way of being unhappy”

Pope Francis

Kane doesn’t care if he has one bed or two as long as he can cuddle with my son. He doesn’t care about the number of toys or how fancy they are, he is just as happy playing tug with a plastic bottle inside a sock.

A happy and good life is when you assume nothing, do more, need less, smile often, dream big, laugh a lot and realize how blessed you are.

Live in the moment

“The great science to live happily is to live in the present”

Pythagoras

Whenever I traveled for holidays and left Kane in the care of this absolutely wonderful kennel called ABVC (www.abvc.ae/services/kennels-cattery/) I used to think won’t Kane be sad because I was leaving him. But I was surprised to see him jump in excitement at the thought of spending his new few days with his furry pals. I would receive photos and videos of him, sent by the thoughtful staff, of the great time he was having. At the same time, the minute I returned he would jump up to greet me and romp off home with a spring in his step.

He taught me that living in the moment and choosing to make the present your focus is the key to happiness. We need to enjoy the good that is going on in our life right now and be grateful for the same.

Unfounded fear and anxiety

“How much pain have cost us the evils which have never happened”

Thomas Jefferson

When I go with Kane for a walk, many a time his cute ears would pop up and I would sense his muscles tensing as if he is preparing against an imminent attack. When I check the surroundings I would see what has caught his keen eyes that has provoked this reaction – nothing but a white plastic garbage bag across the street. But in his mind, he is seeing this a cat that he needs to chase away. I change his energy state and calm him down with soothing words that his fear is unfounded and it is nothing but a plastic bag.

There is a German Proverb – Fear makes the wolf bigger than he is. Behind our anxious mindset and fear is always the question, what if? But the chances of the thing we’re so afraid of happening actually happening is low. So let’s not give the anxiety more energy to convert it into a fear and worse reality.

A study showed is that 97% of what we fret, worry, and fear is nothing more than an anxious mind that would have you believe an exaggerated worst-case scenario.

Instead of being anxious, we need to be mindful of what we can and cannot do. This means recognizing your abilities to cope with the irrational threat. Rather than focusing on outcomes, think about our strengths and recognize that we can handle whatever life throws at us.

Power of Energy

Everything is energy and that’s all there is to it. Match the frequency of the reality you want and you cannot help but get into that reality. It can be no other way. This is not philosophy, this is physics.”

Albert Einsten

Kane explained to me the complex working of universal law of energy in his characteristic simple way – if you want me to be calm and happy on my walk, you better be in the same state yourself as I have a direct connection to your energy level which flows through my leash.

I learnt a very important lesson of how “where attention goes, energy flows”. According to the Law of Attraction, we will attract into our life–whether wanted or unwanted–whatever we give our energy, focus, and attention to. We are constantly giving off vibrations of energy when we think and feel. Our thoughts become words, words manifest as action, action becomes habit, habit shape our character and character becomes our destiny.

Got to take Kane for his walk now…. just to sum up,

“The Power of I am”

Recently discovered this new life changing book – The Power of I am” by Joel Osteen. While I was going through the book some lines from the book went through me. Am listing some of those lines below. A must read book for anyone who wants to lead a happy, healthy, successful and abundant life.

1) Whatever follows the “I am” will eventually find you.
2) Words are like seeds. When you speak something out, you give life to what you’re saying.
3) I have the favor of God. Blessings are chasing me down. The right people are searching me out. New opportunities, new levels are in my future.
4) Don’t use your words to describe the situation. Use your words to change the situation.
5) This is a year of release, a year of healing, a year of breakthroughs, a year of abundance.
6) Bloom where you are planted – Maybe your situation is going to change when you change.
7) Disappointments are inevitable, but misery is optional.
8) God, I don’t know when You are going to do it, but I trust You enough to believe that You will do it, that the answer is already in my future.

Some “I am” s to speak over your life. Read over these declarations every day. Get them down in your spirit. Meditate on them. They may not all be true right now, but as you continue to speak them, they will become a reality.
“I am blessed. I am prosperous. I am successful.”
“I am victorious. I am talented. I am creative.”
“I am wise. I am healthy. I am in shape.” “I am energetic. I am happy. I am positive.”
“I am passionate. I am strong. I am confident.”
“I am secure. I am beautiful. I am attractive.”
“I am valuable. I am free. I am redeemed.”
“I am forgiven. I am anointed. I am accepted.” “I am approved. I am prepared. I am qualified.”
“I am motivated. I am focused. I am disciplined.”
“I am determined. I am patient. I am kind.”
“I am generous. I am excellent. I am equipped.”
“I am empowered. I am well able.” “I am a child of the Most High God.”

PK left me high

Rating: All * in the universe

Once every few years (in this case 5, since the last Raju Hirani’s 3 idiots) comes a movie that not only entertains but also makes us reflect and question some of our beliefs based on blind faith.

I am not going to focus on the magnificent script or the outstanding acting or the visual delights of the film as I am sure most of the movie reviews would have already done enough justice to the same. This was one movie which had some many gems strewn in each frame that it had me in high spirits all through.

Have tried to list down some of my key learnings from the film:

1) Instead of making God responsible for all the solutions; why don’t we help each other?

2) Sadly Gandhi seems to have value only on currency notes these days. We seem to have forgotten the values that he stood for. Reminder for #Gandhigiri.

3) Don’t base your religious beliefs on fear.

4) Why search for God outside and far away places when he is there everywhere and within us.

5) God does not stamp us with a religion at birth. It is a division created by man. So understand and live in harmony with all religions.

6) Faith is very important to hang on to. But make sure you put faith behind the God who has created all of us, who is all merciful and who does not need to be bribed. Don’t put your faith in man made Gods who are more interested in personal benefit.

7) We tend to recognize and make judgments about people more by the clothes (fashion) they wear than their true self.

8) Don’t stereotype type people based on religion or nationality.

9) Open your mind to learning from anyone.

10) True Love is in letting go.

This is one instance where I want the hangover to stay.

The latest band to hit town

A couple of weeks back, I overheard my 11 year old son Aditya having an animated conversation with his school friend over the phone about some band called Rainbow loom. I thought that sounds a pretty odd name for a Boy Band. So when he got off the phone I asked him, “Hey, is this band as famous as One Direction? trying to show off how cool I am and that I am into the latest chart busters. Well his expression in response said it all and I knew instantly that was one more OOPS moment. I didn’t give up, I instantly resorted to what dads nowadays do in the event of any doubt – whisked up my smart phone and typed loom band in the YouTube search window hoping to find a video of a bunch of boys sporting torn jeans and hoodies doing a headstand while rapping their new number. What turned up instead was a video of a girl demonstrating how to make bracelets with color rubber bands!

toy-craze

That was my introduction to the world of loom bands. Rainbow Loom was invented in 2011 by Cheong Choon Ng, a Malaysian-born former seatbelt technology developer from Michigan, who noticed his daughters weaving elastic bands over their fingers to make bracelets. Ng tried it but his own fingers were too big, so he built himself a “loom” – a technology known to the clothing trade since at least the 15th Century – using pins and a wooden slab. His daughters were impressed with the more intricate patterns this allowed.

Ng developed a plastic version and set up a business manufacturing them, investing $10,000. He got a toy shop to stock his product and, after it sold out within a few hours, other stores took an interest. It spread from there and looms and bands can now be seen in schools and homes around the world.

In this era of babies playing with smart phones tablets and young teenagers living and breathing social media, it seems curious to find that rubber bands are a big thing. It helps build concentration, motor skills and helps children focus on building something creative with their hands.

Playgrounds and living rooms are under invasion from colored bands. Children (both boys and girls) are spending hours twisting them into bracelets, charms and rings. Suddenly one can see loom bands take over prime shop shelf space with different variants one can’t even image – rainbow colors, glitter, glow in the dark, why they even have scented ones now!

For me it was interesting and a relief to see my boys taking a break from their Nerf wars and blowing mercenaries in Call of Duty, and actually spending time creating something with their hands. It was a proud moment for me when my son came back from school the other day and said he had sold the loom bracelets that he had created in a school carnival for charity.

I Love Myself Daily Affirmation by Louise Hay

J7a45C2Y9S2mYme4

Deep at the center of my being there is an infinite well of love. I now allow this love to flow to the surface. It fills my heart, my body, my mind, my consciousness, my very being, and radiates out from me in all directions and returns to me multiplied.

The more love I use and give, the more I have to give, the supply is endless. The use of love makes me feel good; it is an expression of my inner joy.

Yes, I love myself, therefore I take loving care of my body. I lovingly feed it nourishing food and beverages. I lovingly groom it and dress it and my body lovingly responds to me with vibrant health and energy.

I love myself, therefore I provide for myself a comfortable home, one that fills all my needs and is a pleasure to be in. I fill the rooms with the vibration of love so that all who enter, myself included, will feel this love and be nourished by it.

I love myself, therefore I work at a job that I truly enjoy doing, one that uses all my talents and abilities, working with and for people that I love and love me, and earning a good income.

I love myself, therefore, I behave in a loving way to all people for I know that that which I give out returns to me multiplied. I only attract loving people in my world for they are a mirror of what I am.

I love myself, therefore I forgive and totally release the past and all past experiences and I am free.

I love myself, therefore I live totally in the now, experiencing each moment as good and knowing that my future is bright, and joyous and secure, for I am a beloved child of the universe and the universe lovingly takes care of me now and forever more.  And so it is.
